I own four rental units that are spread across the city, do I need to purchase an individual ad for each of my available units?Yes. We do not accept listings that advertise more than one apartment unit in a single listing.
I manage an apartment building that has several units, about 40 units in total. Do I have to purchase an online ad for each unit?If you manage to own buildings with several units or have re-occurring vacancies, you may find our Bulk Pricing better fit your needs. Contact our sales department at (800) 862 9874 for more information. However, if you do not choose to use a company listings package then yes you would need to purchase an online ad for each unit.
I just bought an online listing, how can I be sure that my order was taken?If you have successfully purchased an online ad from The My Ideal Home Rental Network, the last web page (Thank You page) in the order submission process will display your Ad Identification Number. This Ad Number will serve as your verification that The My Ideal Home Rental Network has processed your order and your ad will appear online shortly. Make sure you save you Ad Number. You will need it in any correspondence with The My Ideal Home Rental Network regarding your online ad. In addition, you should receive an email shortly after your purchase from The My Ideal Home Rental Network confirming your order.
When will my ad appear online?In order to prevent fraud and maintain a safe experience for both advertisers and renters, each ad undergoes a thorough screening process that takes 24 to 48 hours from when the ad was entered. Please note: Ads entered after hours, holidays and on weekends may not be processed until the next business day.
What is an Ad ID?An Ad ID is short for Ad Number. You receive your The My Ideal Home Rental Network after The My Ideal Home Rental Network has successfully processed your order for an online advertisement. The Ad Number appears on the last web page (Thank You page) in the order submission process and is a numeric number such as AD# 136131
How do I log into my account?Once you have created your account with The My Ideal Home Rental Network you will receive and email with your Username, Password and a link to our login page http://myidealhome.com/member_login.html.
How can I make changes to my ad?First you must log into your account. Once you are logged into your account you can make changes to your live ad. You can edit rents, contact information and amenities. If you need to make other changes, please email your requests to info@myidealhome.com and be sure to include your Ad Number.
How do I find my ad on The My Ideal Home Rental Network?To view your ad, simply perform a search on any of the The My Ideal Home Rental Network partnering websites for the community and rent range that fits your property. Your search result set will contain your property's ad. It may not appear on the first page of properties, and you may have to scroll through all properties matching your search criteria To have your Property featured on the first page you may purchase a featured listing.
Another option is to search by your Ad Number using the quick search tool located on the home page of all The My Ideal Home Rental Network partnering websites
How do I include a photo with my ad?All ad packages unlimited photos at no additional cost. During the online ad creation process, the instructions will prompt you on how to attach your photos to the ad. If for any reason, the system is unable to accept your photos, you may attach them to an e-mail addressed to info@myidealhome.com and a member of our support team will upload them for you. Please include the Ad ID Number that appears on screen at the end of the ad creation process. It serves as a reference whenever you correspond with The My Ideal Home Rental Network regarding your online ad.
Why would my photo(s) be rejected?Please Note: In order to comply with U.S. federal housing guidelines, Apartments.com must reject photos if they contain any of the following: people, alcohol or tobacco products, religious or holiday items, branded items (such as Mickey Mouse, Coca-Cola, etc.), or if the photos were copyrighted by someone other than yourself. Please check your photos for these issues before you upload them. Submitting a photo in violation of these standards will delay the processing of your advertisement.
How do I get a copy of my online ad?You may print out your ad from The My Ideal Home Rental Network at any time.
My apartment is rented but my ad is still posted online. How do I get a refund or credit?All sales are final. My Ideal Home Rental Network will not issue refunds. However, you may e-mail info@myidealhome.com to have your ad removed from the website. Please be sure to include your Ad ID Number to be used as a reference number to locate your ad.
I would like to extend my online ad. How can I do this?First, log into your account using the member login link on all My Ideal Home Rental Network partnering sites home page. Once you are logged in you will have access to renew your ad by clicking the relist link in the management tool bar located on the left hand side of the page. Before renewing, you have the option of making any changes to your ad.
What if I don't have a property name?Use this space to include an Ad Headline such as "Great 1 Bedroom near the lake." This is a required field so please include either a property name or a headline.
How specific does my property address need to be?A Complete address will ensure that those who respond to your ad are interested in your location. For example "175 W. Jackson" or "Wells St. and Jackson" are more specific than "Downtown Chicago."
What phone number should I provide?Enter the number where you are able to be reached by those interested in your ad.
Will I be contacted by phone, e-mail or both?Both are required and will be displayed on your ad. Those interested will contact you by the method of their choice.
What information is required in this section?All fields with a red asterisk are required in order for your ad to be processed. Those fields of information are: rent amount, lease length, number of bedrooms and number of bathrooms. The other fields are optional.
What if my apartment unit and community have features that aren't shown here?You can mention any additional features in the unlimited description text section.
Is there anything I can't say in the Apartment Description?The My Ideal Home Rental Network follows Fair-Housing Guidelines. These rules ensure that renters are not discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status or handicap. Your text will be reviewed before your ad becomes active.
Can I add a photo after my ad is active?You may add or update your photos after your ad is active by logging into your account. Once you login in you will see a management tool bar on the left hand side of the page scroll down to the “Photo” section and click on the link The instructions will prompt you on how to manage the photos in your ad. If for any reason, the system is unable to accept your photos, you may attach them to an e-mail addressed to info@myidealhome.com and a member of our support team will upload them for you. Please include the Ad ID Number that appears on screen at the end of the ad creation process. It serves as a reference whenever you correspond with The My Ideal Home Rental Network regarding your online ad.
Can I use my debit card to pay for my ad?If your debit card is backed by one of the major credit cards selected from the pull down menu, it can be used to pay for your ad.
What are the Terms and Conditions of my Ad?Terms and Conditions: All sales are final. The My Ideal Home Rental Network will not issue refunds. All content will appear as submitted, unless deemed unacceptable by The My Ideal Home Rental Network. The My Ideal Home Rental Network reserves the right to reject photos that do not meet quality and content standards. The My Ideal Home Rental Network is not responsible for image quality.
